The Vet Set is Bun Chia Burrow's ongoing speaker series bringing rabbit-savvy exotic veterinarians to Long Beach for focused, science-based health talks. Each session is 90 minutes with Q+A - free to attend, grounded in clinical expertise, and designed for rabbit owners who want to understand their animal's health at a deeper level.

About the Series

The Vet Set was built around a simple observation: rabbit owners are hungry for real veterinary information, and the rabbit community deserves access to expert voices beyond what fits in a social media caption.

Each session focuses on a single topic - one vet, one subject, enough time to go deep. Past topics have included EC (Encephalitozoon cuniculi), rabbit eye health and disease, GI emergencies, liver lobe torsion, parasites, and pododermatitis. Future sessions are announced on our events page.

Talks are held on the fourth Sunday of select months at BCB's Long Beach hotel. Attendance is free with a suggested $10/talk donation benefiting Second Hop, our in-house rescue fund for red-listed shelter rabbits.

Every Vet Set presenter is a rabbit-savvy exotic veterinarian with direct clinical experience treating rabbits - not a general practice vet or a hobbyist. We vet our speakers the same way we vet everything else at BCB: rigorously and with the rabbit's welfare as the primary consideration.
