About Spooky Paws
Spooky Paws is a Halloween-themed pet fair and adoption event bringing together rescue organizations, local pet vendors, and animal lovers throughout Long Beach and Southern California. This family-friendly outdoor event features adoptable animals, local vendors, a photo booth fundraiser, and a costume contest open to all pets.
What to Expect
Costume Contest: Dress your pet up and wear your own costume! Categories include Best Overall Costume, Most Creative Costume, Funniest Pet, Most Adorable, and Best Dynamic Duo. One winner per category receives a $25 gift card.
Adoptable Animals: Meet dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals from local rescue organizations looking for their forever homes.
Local Vendors: Discover unique pet products and services from Long Beach businesses.
Photo Booth Fundraiser: Strike a pose with your pet in costume.
Family-Friendly Fun: A day of community, entertainment, and celebration of the human-animal bond.

Bring your rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets without costumes - BCB will be happy to help prepare them for the contest!
A note on rabbit costumes: Rabbits have unique needs when it comes to costumes - what’s safe and comfortable for a dog or cat may not be appropriate for a rabbit. We recommend keeping costumes minimal, breathable, and stress-free. BCB will be on-site to help assess and prepare your small pet safely.
