thoughts on gaining trust
Bunnies aren't true cuddlers, but with enough trust, they'll let you. I have seen people return their bunnies to rescues and shelters because they "bite, dig, scratch, don't let me hold them etc."
These behaviors are rabbits being rabbits. The biggest take away from this - gain their trust. S and I start on the ground, lying flat. We do not touch them! We let them come to us, hop on us, sniff on us - whatever they desire to do. If they dig or nip, we just move. No yelling or thumping back. You can also offer some bits of fruit or treats to associate positive rewards with tolerating your presence.
